Not going this year but I hope to have the game on and I'll give a report on Greiser. We have two families from our church coming over for a cookout tonight - all football fans! The only way we miss the game is - we'll have 8 kids ages 6 and down here at the house and they'll get dibs on the TV in the family room. We may have to make an exit to "Boystown" located in my basement to watch the game.
I'll try my best to take a look at Ryan tonight. Medic are you planning to watch?

Watch? He has his Greiser cards ready with Sharpie in hand hoping to get autographs coming off the bus!

Medic will carry his equipment bag to the locker room! Seriously, we all hope Ryan is the answer - but you know the Medic will be in all of his glory for a LONG time if that's the case!

What time is the game and what channel is carrying it? I live in Delaware and could possibly watch it since they show a lot of NJ and PA high school games. I would like to check this kid out.

Well...I caught bits and pieces of the game while our company was visiting. Ryan played OLB/SS and special teams. I did not see him get a carry offensively, which was very disappointing. He's a good looking kid - has a football frame. He got lit up on one kickoff trying the bust up the wedge.
My rant of the day - Coach Palko of the PA all-stars. This is an all-star game and these guys are playing like it's the Super Bowl. Ryan Geiser is a RB! I was tired of watching the PA RB's going to WVU and PITT. Couldn't he have gotten Ryan one lousy carry (I never saw him get the ball and I haven't seen the official box but I don't think he took one snap on O)?

Is that Tyler Palko's dad?
Sometimes they have to play guys on defense if that's where they need able bodies.

Not Tyler's dad. Maybe brother - younger guy. I know PA was woefully short on D but it's still a shame you can't see the kid play the position he'll play at the next level. I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to see how Mr. Greiser runs the ball at the next level.

went- good race until Mikey Wallace and Kasey Kane had a "who can knock down Safer barriers" contest over the last 3 laps- no one likes a finish under yellow. the Roush boys had a good day.

I tryed my best to find the game but it wasn't even on in our area. It doesn't look like I missed much. I was looking forward to watching the game. I will see if he can work his way into the starting lineup early in his career.

Carl Edwards tapped Kasey when he went to make the move from 5 to 4. Edwards took the blame for that when it was over. He obviously felt bad. If I'm not mistaken, somebody got into Waltrip as well. I felt really bad for Kasey Kahne, though. He made a nice run at the end and could have perhaps even made it up to the 3 spot before it was over.

It is a powerful cult, indeed. I'm a (relatively) recent convert. Not that it's much of a stretch for a Tarheel native to become a Nascar fan.

I understand NASCAR completely. I've covered Cup & Busch races. I just have never gotten caught up in it. My dad never watched a NASCAR race for more than five minutes until he saw an interview of Terry Labonte on a local station in Corpus Christi 15 years ago. From that day on, he was hooked.
It still doesn't do much for me. Its on a similar plane with the NHL ... fun sports to watch in person even though the tickets are obscenely overpriced.

Nascar Drivers:360 on FX combined with playing the career mode on Nascar 2005 sold me. That's not a big deal, though. The big deal is that the ND:360 show got MY WIFE into racing. One smile from Kasey Kahne on that show and she's watched every race since. In fact, I thought I would have to cover the dog's ears when Carl Edwards wrecked him on Sunday.

Roush boys on the move- outta the way.
Oh, and not to get off track (HAHA) here but back to the Big 33 Classic- I got to see the re-broadcast overnight at work last night until I fell asleep mid 4th quarter (about 0200).
Looks like Greiser mostly lined up as a DB (wearing #24) and looked decent run-stopping. The coaching staff was obviously more concerned w/ getting face time for the chosen RB, #5 (Dana Brown). I wasn't overly impressed w/ the other kid- would have liked to see what Ryan can do.
