I heard on the FAN 660 here in NYC that South Carolina has admitted to 10 recruiting violations with 5 of them being "severe". This happened under Holtz's watch. Now we all know the only school who can get away with that is Notre Dame - but could CCU pick up transfers if the punishment is severe (no bowls, no competeing for the SEC title, no TV, etc.)? Furthermore if scholies are limited over the next few years could CCU pick up some of the "fringe"kids who are great athletes but the last kids USC would offer in a normal recruiting situation?

First off, anybody else feel better about us not hiring Holtz?
As for ND being the only team to get away with major infractions, take a look toward Tuscaloosa and see how they have weathered all kind sof major infractions in recent years.
As for CCU possibly benefiting, it could happen. But i doubt there are widespread transfers until after the punishment is handed down. And knowing how slow the NCAA moves, that could be a long time.
