Jeff Bowden could be a great coach for Liberty. Of course he should hire someone else to call the plays, but in other aspects he may be a VERY good fit for Liberty.
He comes from a devout Baptist family. He could recruit very well because he has experience recruiting blue chip athletes for FSU and he has the Bowden name.
Before he was promoted to O.C. at FSU, he was one of the best wide receivers coaches in college football. Jeff Bowden put a bunch of WRs in the NFL. He has connections in the coaching world being from a high profile family and could get a good staff to surround him.
I think Liberty should consider hiring him. Of course my plea is partly because I want FSU to hire someone else to be their OC, at the same time I can say with a straight face that Jeff Bowden could be a GREAT coach at Liberty if given the opportunity.
When he took over at OC, it was supposed to be a stepping stone for him to be a head coach. Well, here is an opening. I hope that Liberty interviews him for the job. They will find out that he is a good person, and knows a lot about football. He may not be the best playcaller or an offensive genius, but it takes more than that to be a great football coach. I hope he gets the opportunity, for FSU's sake and for Liberty's sake. It could serve us both well. GO NOLES and best of luck to Liberty U.

So what are your thoughts now that a Jeff Bowden coordinated offense scored 27 points on Va Tech? (well technically 20 because of the one punt return by Willie Reid)
