i was browsing today and found I-AA.ORG. this site had a lot of meat on I-AA football, and i recommend it. anyway they had2004 conference rankings and the BSC was 11th out of 16. the conferences below us were the "mid-major conferences", the independents, and the SWAC. the MEAC was just ahead of the BSC. we so badly need some higher profile teams! the indivdual BSC team rankings are as follows: COASTAL- T49 LIBERTY- T64 GWU- 70 CSU- 101 VMI- 103 surprisingly VMI and CSU had teams below them. i still feel that 2 high profile D-II teams would help, and if the MEAC shakes up then Hampton and SC State. oh well i can only dream!

Thanks for the link. I think Coastal will continue to emerge. I think we'll continue to improve. If CCU and LU step it up a notch I think the BSC will move up in ranking. I like the fact we're being aggressive with the OOC scheduling piece. Hampton would certainly add power to the mix - but as it stands now CCU and LU are the 2 candidates that can influence the conference ranking. CSU has been bad forever and VMI is a tough place to win anymore period.

Looking at the I-AA site - the A10 is without a doubt the premiere football conference in I-AA anymore. We could make a name for ourselves scheduling and beating a few of those guys. The one advantage to the BSC - scheduling flexibility!

Hopefully we all do well with our OOC games.

i-aa.org has been on my required viewing list for a long time. That's where I find a lot of the articles I reference on here.
You might also go check out anygivensaturday.com. Its kind of the message board for all I-AAs. Occasional poster on here LIbertine is a regular over on that board. And I see Rok on there all the time.
As for the A-10, they'll all be heading over to the CAA soon. So they'll be back to being a hoops league in nothing flat.

Whether the A-10 schools go back I am not sure, but the CAA seems to be growing too fast. 12 football schools with a 13th (ODU) to be added in the next few years and quite possibly two more (GSU and GMU) schools adding football in the same time frame.

We can only hope. But there's still plenty of time before the new schools are going to be full football members.
