I just received the following from LU:
Dear Liberty Alumnus,
Make plans now to come home to Liberty University for Homecoming 2005! It will be a time to reconnect with classmates, old friends and former professors or make new friends and meet many of our new faculty. You will have a great time of fun, fellowship and relaxation as you enjoy a wonderful autumn weekend in Lynchburg, VA. A lot of exciting new things are taking place on the campus of Liberty University that you have to see to believe.
We are planning to make this year’s Homecoming activities the biggest and best and most exciting alumni event ever. It will be a weekend packed with activities for you and your entire family. Best of all, this year all the activities ... all the entertainment ... all the athletic events and even all the meals are being provided at no charge for LU alumni and their immediate families. All you have to do is register and get here! Here is the schedule of events:
Friday Night, September 30th- 6:00pm - 9:00pm- LU Alumni Block Party with food, entertainment, and special music. Indoor child care will be provided.
Saturday Morning, October 1st- 9:00am - 2:00pm- Enjoy the Tim LaHaye Student Center where the entire family can swim, play basketball, lift weights, and use the fitness center. You can also watch the Homecoming Parade and/or tour the LU campus.
Saturday Afternoon- 3:00pm – 6:00pm- LU Tailgate Party & Carnival with food, and games for the entire family. Indoor child care will be provided. There will be tents set-up for the various schools so you can connect with friends and faculty.
Saturday Evening- 7:00pm- LU Football Game vs VMI
Please, plan on being a part of Homecoming 2005. You and your family will have a tremendous, fun-filled weekend as you reconnect with old friends and see firsthand what God is doing at Liberty University.
If you have questions about Homecoming 2005, please email us at Alumni@liberty.edu. Our preference is for you to register online, however if you would like to register by phone or prefer to speak with someone from the Alumni Office, please call 800.628.7973.
Sincerely,
