We will be lucky to win three games if things don't turn around. CSU and Norfolk State might be wins even if we don't play well. But we almost lost to a DII school so even if we play bad against those two teams, we could still lose those games. If things don't turn around quickly, our record will be a dismal 3-8 or a possibility of 1-10.
I agree, if tonight's game was any indication of the rest of our season-I'll go with CSU and Norfolk St. NS is REALLY bad, I will be very surprised if they beat us-even after seeing the massacre with Youngstown. I'd love for us to be wrong.

Right now I would have to agree with most. I think that 3-8 with wins vs Chuck South and Norfolk State would be a safe pick. Maybe we could pull an upset against VMI at homecoming. Totally unacceptable if you ask me. Looks like our standards are being lowered every year as if being in the Big South is bad enough.
5-6 or 4-7. wins over VMI, NSU, chuck south, and the toss-up towson. we are better than these teams listed. i know we got beat up pretty bad, but we still have a chnace to have a good season, and win the conference.but yes...im very nervous on our prospects!
Towson will win, we'll go 4-7. Wins: Concord, VMI, CSU, Norfolk St.-the game against W&M this weekend will be the measuring stick for VMI...we'll see how closely we can play them.
I said at the beginning of the season that Liberty was going 7-4 this year..... And I'm sticking by my prediction.
So far, despite our inability to find the endzone, we are 1-2. Pretty much everyone on this board felt that we'd be 1-2 at this point in the season. After next week's huge embarrasing failure, we'll be 1-3. That's what everyone thought, too.
But of course, LU has improved (and the schedule got easier) over the last two years as the season progressed, winning in the last four games both times. We play Norfolk State and Chuck South to finish the season; both of those are W's.
Of the Gardner-Webb and Coastal Carolina contests that preceed those two, you have to think that Liberty would win at least one of those (I still think both).
Now for the rest: VMI, Chattanooga, Towson. VMI is terrible, and we're playing them on homecoming, so that's going to be a win. Of Chattanooga and Towson, I think we have a 50 percent chance to win both of them. Let's chalk up one win there.
Those are reasonable predictions, and that results in a 6-5 season -- at worst. But I've also seen luck (or Providence) on our side, and we've won games despite playing poorly (see the fourth-quarter, 21 point comeback against VMI two years ago, or the Hofstra game that same year, and vs. Gardner Webb and Chattanooga last year).
It happens. 7-4.

That trend might change this year if things don't shape up. Eventhough the VMI comeback was all nice, that is the past. We still didn't have a good team back then either. Chattanooga was the only road win maybe besides CSU in Karcher's tenure. We don't know how to play on the road. VMI did win their first game this year against Davidson but I don't know anything about Davidson Football. VMI to you may be terrible but we right now are just plain pathetic.
