We've already had a huge upset today of some secondary interest.
Delaware - 10 Richmond - 20
Unbelievable! Way to go Spiders! ___________________________________
JMU - 7 UMass - 10
The Dukes fall once again on the road. Unfortunately that steals a little of the thunder from CCU's season opening victory. ___________________________________
Wake Forest - 30 Boston College - 35
The school we'll be facing next fall let one slip away at BC allowing two last minutes TDs to lose the Eagles.
___________________________________
VMI - 23 Wofford - 38
The Keydets lose on the road in a non-conference matchup. ___________________________________
William & Mary - 24 Northeastern - 31 4th - 6:01 to go
The Tribe trying to dig themselves out of a hold on the road.
___________________________________
G-W - 7 CCU - 7 2nd - 10:42 to go
The Chants got behind after one and are caught up in a surprising dogfight early on.

After scoring 21 points in the 4th quarter to send it to OT:
William & Mary - 44 Northeastern - 41 F/2OT

G-W - 17 CCU - 7 Halftime
That would be a real stunner if it holds up!

Whoa! G-W just scored a touchdown with :27 to go to take a 31-28 lead. This would be a stunning upset.

CCU just booted a FG as time expired to send their duel with G-W to overtime.

It looks like the Chants are going to escape.
G-W gets ball first and they throw a 3rd down interception.
All CCU needs to do is boot a FG ... and they just connected on a 47-yarder to send it to OT a few moments ago.

Not going to help their cause when they are looking for an at-large playoff bid.

I'll probably catch some heat from ROK and COASTAL89 for this- but they keep pulling these games out in the last 2 min. Its one thing against a JMU (though they are clearly NOT the class of the field that they were last year), but when you barely beat a GW, I don't know...

I'm glad we can bless you with our great humor But I am seriously concerned - just like I said about GWU. I said if we don't take GWU seriously then we could lose, and it nearly happened. The bad part is we are probably the biggest team on the schedule for the rest of the teams. I think Karcher would redeem himself somewhat with a win over us. The coaches have already admitted that they have had this game circled before the season began and we don't do too well on artificial turf - recipe for disaster.

You have no idea what disaster is, rok. We've had the market cornered for most of the season.
I too believe if we play a terrific game and you guys continue to be sloppy with the football, anything can happen.
But I'm still not buying all the poor-mouthing I'm hearing from down there along the beach.

It's not like we are winning games in the first quarter and ending up with 30 points over the other team. The GWU game we were favorites by 10-14 points and we had to win in overtime. As many have said - these conference games are very dangerous for us.
I know we are favored and *should* win but there is a lot of motivation to beat us over the next couple of weeks. I hope i'm wrong and we win the rest of our games by 30 points - but if we don't tighten up then we will get beat.

Attend a few LU games and you won't be so worried about your Chants. PS: Good to have you back, ROK!
