Well, we've been down this road before -- LU fans up in arms because of how our team has been handled ineptly up until this point. But, we somehow managed to close out the remaining four games on the schedule and finish with a respectable season (last year, when it seemed like Karcher was all but fired, happened to be New Coke Ken's only winning season).
During those four games over the last two years, we won the games that we were supposed to and picked up victory in the other game on the schedule (Hofstra in '03 and Chatty in '04). It seems like when Acting FEMA Director Karcher's back is *REALLY* up against a wall, and I mean REALLY, we some how manage to pull through. Strange, but that seems to be the nature of his tenure. Completely bomb, lose the fan base, emerge with a modicum of dignity left.
Here's to a 3-1 finish.

Yes, that pushover Big South conference schedule saves us every year. Hopefully it won't happen this year. Hopefully the AD has his mind made up that a change is necessary at this time and has the process well under way.

I see us as 2-2 in the final 4 games...losses to Gardner-Webb and CCU, wins over CSU and Norfolk State.

2-2 would be good for the players morale, but probably NOT enough to save Coach K. In addition to the Chancellor, who we KNOW wants a winner on the field, I'm betting the big contributors (namely, those who's NAMES are on the buildings/fields) are gonna put a TON of pressure on the AD in this off-season. Recruiting for the next season starts soon, if it hasn't already. No time for indecision.

I would tend to lean towards what Atrain said-I can see a 2-2 finish-if we play excellent. I think we're capable of beating CSU and Norfolk St.
I don't believe 3 wins in a season is enough to save Karcher. At least I pray not.

Why wouldn't three wins be enough to save Karcher's hide? He's done it twice before, and even pulled off a two win season. We rewarded that ineptitude with a 5 year contract.

2-2 is a safe bet...though i could see us slipping to NSU. i watched them play sc state on tv and they hung in there the entire game.
