I missed the game yesterday, but it's so awesome having Sam do well. (I never heard any professor say Samkon in class...I didn't know until the past two weeks that that was his real name. I just thought Sam was short for Samuel.)

Although I'm a Coastal Carolina Fan it was great to see Gado representing Liberty and the BS Sunday. He had a great game and hopefully many more to come!

Thanks for the welcom PAmedic....is easy....I'm just a fan...he's been at Coastal long enough (89) he's the institution....j/k I just think it is great that the BS is getting great representation in the Pros and it didn't hurt that he helped put the Panthers in 1st.

Just an FYI: My plan for now is to head up to Baltimore for the Dec. 19 Packers-Ravens game to do some stuff on Sam(kon) and Paris Lenon, a Heritage High grad who plays linebacker for the Packers. Not too often you have two Lynchburg ties on the same NFL team. Should be a fun story.

At least you have an angle. Otherwise that game may be nearly as bad to cover as the Texans-Chiefs game I'm producing the pregame show for Sunday night. Yuck.

Today on the Dan Patrick Show he made the joke that Jerry didn't even know who Gado was before this past weekend.

not the BIGGEST vote of confidence- but he's helping us all forget Eric Green.

Eric Green will never die in Pittsburgh. Everytime I mention Liberty or someone spots the gear, its Eric Green and Sid Bream - both Pittsburgh heartbreakers.

LUPitt, I knew you'd pick up on that one! I was a big fan of Eric when I was down there, but man, what a waste of potential.

Chris Lang, you may want to interview Cornell Brown of the Ravens at that game as he is also a Lynchburger that went to Heritage high school. I had him on my show a couple of years back when I still lived in Northern VA. He is a great guy. We used to tape our show at Champps restaurant in Reston and he did the show and then ate and hung out with us for hours afterwards just talking and signing autographs and stuff....Eric Green is one of the many famous football players that went pro from LU and was probably the best of the bunch but his rep is shot. I don't tell too many people he is my buddy because of that. I think he is doing much better now in his old age but it has been a while since we have spoken.

Glass team that beat my Hayfield Hawks at City Stadium in the state semifinals in 1992 when I was a senior. He doesn't play for the Ravens any more. He's some sort of strength and conditioning assistant at Virginia Tech now, but he won't talk to us about it. Nathan Warters has tried to do something on him, but he doesn't want to speak to the media about why he's at Tech. Odd.
