Looks like the guy's name is John Clarke. Apparently he transferred to Point Loma Nazarene University, a NAIA school in San Diego, CA. Total enrollment--3k. John Clarke Junior – Guard 6’2’’ – 175 Bahamas Liberty University Prior to PLNU: Played for two years at Liberty University at the point guard position…attended high school at Tabernacle Baptist…was a four-year letter winner as a shooting guard and averaged 24 ppg, five rpg an six apg and three steals per game…was chosen for the All-State team each year and also made the All-Tournament team…was MVP of the national tournament as a junior…also made the honor roll as a junior and senior. I remember him. back up PG I believe. 2 or 3 minutes per game at the most. I can't see why anybody would want to sell that even if you were a bench warmer.

I am a lil suprised that Clarke sold it, he and the Flames staff did not get a long so well on his summer out of Lynchburg. Not a great basketball player, good athlete, won the Midnight Madness dunk contest last year. Pictures don't say enough, if uve seen the ring in person, it is a beauty.

Not getting on John here... just curious though... is that a NCAA infraction? To gain money from selling off your college basketball ring while you're still in college?

You can do with your ring whatever you want. Its not an NCAA infraction. And since John is playing NAIA ball it wouldn't matter if it were.

$177 is actually a pretty good deal ... even if you melted it down you would come out on top.
But most of us don't have that type of change between the cushions of our sofas.
