Another pic of the future ice rink. The student center is across the parking lot on the left.

Closup of the new football facility. As you can see, it's just a big hole, and has been for a while now.

Gracias para los retratos.
The football facility site looks like strip mines I sed to frequent in Southern Ohio as a kid. Any largemouth or crappie in there?

Well...I've got good news, and bad news: Good news is, the only reason my camera is acting up is b/c of the batteries I put in it...bad news is, the girl I like just sees me as a "really good friend" and I've acquired another stalker making this the third year in a row that I've gotten one. But at least this one is normal, the last one was certifiably psycho (and no-I'm not basing that off of the fact that she wanted to go to the movies with me when she was engaged...she's actually been engaged to 2 different men since she started stalking me) and the other one is after her M-R-S degree in a major way (and still is...she just doesn't get the hint that I'm not the one for her)
But enough about that...I'm happy to see the progress on the hockey building...once built its only a matter of time before our team goes NCAA Div. I

Dude, your life is like a telenovela. If you speak Espnol, you need to start writing for Telemundo.

Why do women always use the "I see you as a good friend thing?" Don't they know we aren't good friends when we are young and our hormones are on overdrive :>)
Hang in there ATrain. My wife stalked me for months before I gave in (don't tell her that when you meet her) - your newly found stalker may be a keeper.

They better build the rink fast at LU. I heard today that they are closing the Roanoke Ice Palace...and I think that is where LU was playing most of their home games until they finished the rink. I guess they could move some to the Civic Center...those were always fun...but bottom line, I hope LU has someplace to play next year.

Forgive my ignorance, but is the Roanoke Ice Palace the old rink in Salem? What's the next closest available ice? Richmond? Greensboro? Triangle?

There's a rink in Charlottesville, where UVA plays. It really sucks though, but I guess it can't be much worse than the Ice Palace.

My favorite rink was the LancerLot Arena in Vinton Home of the Roanoke Valley Rebels, Rampage and Virginia Lancers of the ECHL. The roof collapsed back in the spring of 93 in an April blizzard. The Rampage existed for just one year and moved to Huntsville, AL to become the Huntsville Blast in the ECHL. Last winter I met a guy in Massachusettes who collects old minor league hockey jerseys and he had two game worn Rampage jerseys (home and away). Needless to say - I bought them. I haven't seen any more of them anywhere since.

I believe thats where I attended all the games back when. I assumed that was what everyone was talking about- didn't know it had collapsed!
