Now that we've begun to increase our membership size, perhaps we're ready to start building some identities. While maintaining board anonymity, it'd be cool to get a better idea of the makeup of the membership (and non-members as well). Perhaps whther you are an LU student, alum or as our board admin described himself, an innocent bystander. Perhaps we could list what years we went to school or where we call home now. I'll go ahead and start and if nobody else follows, the thread will slowly slide down the forum.
Sly Fox LU '85-'89 BS Communications Currently reside in Houston, TX

Jim, I had some close friends on my dorm from those areas who were here the same time you and your wife were. Brian/Chris Shesko, the Boyers, Adam Austin ring a bell? I know this is pointless, but I gotta get enough posts to be a full member.

If we must... Ed Dantes (not my real name, which has been posted on this board earlier. Ed Dantes, or rather, Edmund Dantes, for you literary buffs, was the protagonist in the Count of Monte Christo. Haven't read the book, but the movie with Jim Caviezel was great).
LU 1999 - 2003 B.S. Communications, spec. in journalism Regent University, 2003-05 M.A. journalism Residing in Virginia Beach, Va. - originally from New Jersey.

aLUmnus,
The Boyers are from Westmont, which isn't very far from Johnstown. I didn't know them that well, but their parents are members of the credit union where my mom works.
The other names sound familiar, but I didn' t know those people that well. I was on Dorm 10 in 97-98. Then off campus for the rest, but I had friends mostly in dorms 10 & 14.
Jim.

I know the Boyers real well. As a matter of fact, I stay at Jeff's house whenever I'm in Lynchburg. I worked with him on the Student life staff for several years (that is how I know the Shesko's although not nearly as well as the Boyers).

I attended LU in 1986/87 before transferring to Bridgewater to play baseball (graduated in 1991). Attended many Flames sporting events (especially basketball) as a kid and followed the Flames even after I transferred.
I spent 5 years after college coaching DIII football before moving into the healthcare industry (pharmaceutical sales). I'm working on my MBA at LU right now, live in Harrisburg with wife and 3 kids, working for a Pharmaceutical consulting firm in Business Development.

I'll bet you couldn't wait to get away from that Aggie Cult. Weirdest college culture I've ever seen. Elephant walk ... sainthood for dead dogs ... fixation on all things UT ...
All that said, I love game days at Kyle Field. Even the milkmen with their cheesy yells are cool on Saturdays in the fall.
PAmedic -- And he obviously is familiar with your Eastern PA brand of football and yet he still makes the clear distinction. Enough said.
Once again, welcome aboard, Zack.
