Very original. I didn't have a very high regard for the state before I moved down here over 15 years ago. It rather grows on you. Plus, cold weather sucks.

This is why I live at the beach.
However, just like Texas, the heat in the summers can be horrible.

Something about this board seems to attract folks with sportscasting connections.

A lot of young guys on this board. I'm a real old timer. LU was still LBC when I started in 1976. Finished in 1981. Now I've got a kid at the school. It's hard to believe the facilities they have now. We didn't even have a gym. I had to join the YMCA just to go play basketball. Actually lived in the Ramada Inn my freshman year (they rented several floors). There was nothing on the "mountain" until the second semester of my sophomore year.

You may well know our guy FLAMESHAW: he's an alum from that era as well- I'd like to point out that I was ages 6-11 at that time (76-81)
now I don't feel so old.

I don't know how I've managed to avoid this thread for this long, but I suppose I should jump in...

Old timers are always welcome. Its cool that the school has finally been around long enough foir us to have multiple generations attend the school.
And I too am a little surprised you hadn't chimed in on this thread prior to this, El Scorcho.

Flamesfan, you and I have actually lived on the same hall for almost 3 years now (lets see, I came to 38-4 Spring of 04, plus all last year on E5, and this year on E6).

I've been at LU since about 3:30 yesterday afternoon. I didn't even pay attention to what hall I'm on actually. I'll look sometime today.
