Some might argue there's no point arguing with any NASCAR fan.
For the record, Gordon is 34 years old. He's not exactly a young pup.
I've never understood all the hatin' in NASCAR. Can't you be a fan of your own driver and not hate on anybody else who is successful?

You sure can be a fan of your own driver and love everybody. I enjoy watching the races and even was happy for Tony when he won. I don't appreciate Gordon as a person, but do respect his driving.

No. In the official France family rule book it says you MUST love your driver to the exclusion of all others.
Especially the fairies over at Hendrick!
(Kidding SMOOTHIE, gotta admit the 24/48 are always tough)

i was hoping the smoothie thing would get swept under the rug, but flameshaw got that going! cheer, i would love to know what you do not respect about gordon...all drivers get in arguements with others, and he has certainly had his share. gordon has one of the best charitable organizations in all of NASCAR, and is very good with the fans as most drivers are. yeah he is a short guy in stature and has a pip-squeak voice, but the reason i like him so much is the way he drives, and he was the driver to give dale sr. a real challenger, and to break the mold of southern drivers dominating NASCAR. im done talking about this, i just dont understand all the hatin' !

my better half is the world's biggest #2 fan- I kinda hope he pulls it out- though the "old guys" are def at a disadvantage. the whole mentality of the sport suits the young guns, though Roush seems pretty well balanced, so ya never know!

I got to go to Richmond Saturday night. It was my first race. I had a blast. And that's all I have to say about that.

I'm told Richmond is one of the best places to see a race- particularly night racing. We hope to get down there next year.

I'm told Richmond is one of the best places to see a race- particularly night racing. I don't speak with much authority since it was my first race, but I thought it was a great place. Aside from the fact that it's completely surrounded by two-lane roads. You can imagine traffic before and after the race. Oh, and that I had to walk under the stands halfway around the track to get to my gate. It's amazing how much beer can still be dripping/drizzling through the cracks in the stands by the time you walk halfway around. Gross.

ah yes, the ol' beer and, most likely, urine bath after the race- nothing like it. And if you want REAL gridlock- try to get out of Dover, DE after a race. Bumper to bumper for 30+ miles ALL the way out 13 to I95.

I was so excited about the outcome for the chase! I am rooting for Martin but just happy he is in it. Wouldn't mind any of the Roush guys to win! Should be fun to watch.

I heard the Arkie on Rome this afternoon. I guess we have to put up with him for another year.
PS - Jim Rome is worth listening to for you Philly folks who are just now getting the Jungle. I've been a faithful listener for a decade now.

I just have to say that I enjoyed seeing Greg Sniffle come in second on both Saturday and Sunday. Not because it was a good finish, but because he technically "lost". Of course, that meant hearing his typical "I could have won if I really wanted to." after the Busch race. Glad to see he's not so whiny as to try that on a veteran and teammate.
Poor Greg Sniffle.

don't be a hater SCORCHO.
but you're right- even though he's a Roush boy- it occurred to me after the Busch race that he sounds a LOT like Jeff Gordon. And we really don't need another "Jeffy".

I am anxious to see Jeff and Jr. back in the race. Ratings always go down when the football games go on. Although not in MN considering how poor the Vikes and the Packers are doing!

Does NASCAR have any oriental drivers on the (is it a) circuit? If so, what do they drive? Do you Rednecks only cheer for "good ol' boys?" Don't get me wrong, I really don't care, other than I want all my brothers and sisters (cheer95) to have happy, fulfilled lives.
"We're going into this with our eyes wide open," (under the circumstances, that's probably a good thing) " he said. "We've assembled a great group of people. (I'm now feeling warm & fuzzy) We aligned (Aligned? Is this a mechanical play on words?) ourselves with the right sponsor, one who will give us the resources ( Resouces? a vehicle and a couple of guys with greasy jump suits?) to go out and be successful." (Successful? The one who chases his tail the fastest without getting killed?)
O.K. - I'm sorry! I just want to participate.
