This board is probably not a bastion of NeckCar. Its too young of a crowd. As for me, I can take it or leave it (but I generally leave it).

Yes, I WILL keep posting 'til I force this thread into a lively discussion- what else is worth talking about until football season? LOL
(gotta admit, never REALLY followed college B-ball, in fact: HATED "March madness", I know- its HERESY! but I'm getting more tolerant in my old age)

I did some stories with Terry & Bobby Labonte back when I was working in Corpus Christi. I even briefly hosted a weekly motor sports show. While I enjoy covering a Cup race, I don't generally get caught up in 500-mile races. I prefer recapped highlights.
As for Mark Martin, I'm not a fan. He's not exactly the warmest guy to interview. But to each his own.

48 car gets the 1st win of the year- I get a feeling they are gonna give us Rousch fans a LOT of hearburn this year ( as will all the Hendrick cars).
Martin was 8th, but he has a poor hx at this track. Next week is the big test. On to the twin 150s.

Freekin' Harvick is an IDIOT! great start to the season. this guy needs to sit for a few races or find a new career before he kills someone. Big E is rolling in his grave. (And I'm no Jimmy Johnson fan)

I just re-read my last post, and in light of our moderator's standing request, feel I should offer the following disclaimer:
No disrespect intended- and I didn't mean to have an un-christian attitude towards Mr Harvick. I am SURE the Lord loves him, but I am also sure the Lord is a big #6 fan and He, too, wishes Harvick would learn to drive.

Did you guys hear the deal about if you buy a car from Martin's dealership in Arkansas, you can drive with him around a track in Memphis? Me, I'll pass.

I believe he calls Springdale, Arkansas home. He owns a car dealership there. Its a town near Fayettesville in the NW part of the state. Actually, its in the Ozarks where it is most certainly spring already.
For the record, its sunny & 75 today here in Houston.

I'm thrilled to report we only got 8-10" this time, though it is still snowing and expected to flurry for a day or so. Makes me laugh to read @ LU's baseball games being moved or postponed- we have the little guy signed up for T-ball but you won't get ON a field for 2 months yet up here. (Sorry- off topic)

You guys seriously have a racing thread? Cars going around in circles does not qualify as a sport. I stayed in town for race week in charlotte this year and I couldn't understand the dialect, and I'm a native southerner. Next year I will get out of town before the Deliverance music starts playing and the entire hillbilly population of the southeast comes to town.

Oh man, Jim Rome found the message board. This is going to degenerate into a "what defines a sport" thread. Is figure sakting, is cycling, blah blah.
Anyway, I don't watch or like NASCAR but I did go to a race in charlotte and it was pretty sweet. Being there is like nothing else. If I hadn't had the radio that listened to the pit crews it might have been pretty boring though.

I dont think that they do, but I'm from Connecticut. And he's had shows on FSN and ESPN. He's your basic abrasive on purpose know it all ala Seven A Smith, but we've already had that conversation. Arguing about what is a sport is popular in all of Sports talk radio though. It seems like it came up once a week on the Dan Patrick show. That Ron Dibble. He sure is an idiot.
