WU's coming into Lynchburg this weekend...should be an interesting series. Saturday's and Sunday's games will be broadcast on the radio over the internet...there is a link on WU's website to listen.

Rubber game today at Worthington in the WU baseball series. WU fans are pointing to today's game to launch them into the national spotlight as a baseball power.
That said
All of the media outlets up here are still reporting about WU's hard fought loss to Gonzaga. Some say it's the greatest college basketball game of all time. Rumors are ESPN is going to launch a month long documentary covering that game that possibly changed the landscape of college basketball. Comcast may add "The Winthrop Channel" with 24 updats on Winthrop basketball and live cams in the equipment room so fans can watch the hanging jerseys for hours at a time.
OK guys that was my sarcastic post of the day. Everyone have a great Monday.

Flooding sucks. We get more than our share down here in Texas. Jack Sparrow's town got hammered this past summer.
That said, its sunny & 78 again today here in Houston.

PAMedic,
wow! That is all I can say about that flooding picture. I have to call home to my mom to see if my old Keystone Conference trophies are floating down Broad street. For those of you who don't know PA and I played in the same basketball conference. That was back in the days when I could actually dunk a basketball! How come no one told me the vertical jump would be the first thing to leave me?

Liberty won the game 6-2 to take the series 2-1. A very good win against a very good team. This Winthop team beat some very good non-conference teams and have been nationally ranked for some time.

Cool. Perhaps conference play will be the same type of tonic for baseball as it was for mens hoops.

How about we have 4 possible freshman all-american candidates......Mike Sollbach, Ryan Page, Aaron Grijalva, and Adam Kearney. Sollbach is almost a definite dominating Winthrop and High Point with the dominating 90-92MPH 2-Seam, and Kearney has thrown out 12 of 28 while batting .333 with 16 RBI's. Page and Grijalva have shots as well. Page has a good 3.8 ERA only 1 win though, and Grijalva is hitting .340 with 3 jacks, but first base is known for power and im sure there are some freshman tearing it up elsewhere as well......thought ya'll might enjoy chewin on the stats for while... 5 GRIJALVA, Aaron.. .340 27-27 94 23 32 5 3 3 16 46 KEARNEY, Adam.... .333 26-24 81 13 27 10 1 1 16 34 PAGE, Ryan....... 3.81 1-2 7 5 1 0/1 1 26.0 27 19 11 13 12 9 1 1 105 .257 38 SOLBACH, Michael. 4.08 4-1 9 8 3 0/1 0 53.0 57 31 24 17 37 10 0 2 206 .277 O yea, and hey "Captain"
