Ok-we're all fans of Liberty FFAF (first, foremost, always and forevermore) but lets be honest...I'm sure everyone here has a favorite "major" team and I'm just curious to see who likes who. I myself have always been loyal to VT (except when they play us in Women's BBall and Hockey). GO HOKIES

I'm Durham born, Chapel Hill raised. Sure everyone loves to hate both schools come basketball season, but Duke and UNC are in my blood. After that I'll always pull for NCSU and WF. Gotta keep it local.

Ohio State all the way! But since I live in ACC territory I have adopted Duke basketball primarily because I have a lot of respect for coach K (sorry tar heel fans). By the way did anyone see the Mcdonalds all american high school game on tv? Duke will have a great point guard in Greg Paulus. He made a couple of unbelievable passes.

I don't see how it's possible to have both Duke and UNC blue in your blood, wouldn't your body reject that?
And I think if you talked to the refs around college basketball, you would quickly lose that respect you've gained for Coach K.
I'm a huge UConn fan, and now that they have a I-A football program, I can root for them in football. Otherwise, it's Michigan all the way. Go Blue (the real blue).

V88 -- I grew up a Buckeye fan. But that athletic department is a cesspool.
Mark -- I don't hate Notre Dame that much anymore since they have become like Penn State a once great program.

Yeah, I'm a huge fan of Paulus' completely pointless no look passes. I'm not just picking on Paulus, who I already can't stand. But no look passes on breakaways, ala JJ Red1ck and Paulus, make me laugh more than impress me. Josh McRoberts looks good though. But not as good as Andrew Bynum. He will own every big man in the country once he gets some stamina.
I've been a Uconn in bball and syracuse in football fan my whole life, although I've abandoned the orange football program in favor of Uconn's brand new 1A team.

P...I...T...T - Lets go Pitt!
Cant wait for football - Wannstadt was a great coaching pick up. Tyler Palko for Hiesman in 2005!

Wannstadt was a great coaching pick up. People got too caught up in his NFL record coaching teams that wouldn't bring in talent. I agree that this was a good hire...plus, being an alum means he's probably not looking at this as a stepping stone job.

I must agree. At first, I looked at his head coaching record and thought maybe it wasnt that great of an idea. He has been part of a national championship with Pitt in '76 and he put together a great defense during the Cowboys (gag, plea.... ) Super Bowl run in the mid 90's. He has been a winner at every level and is now looking to take his alma mater to the next level. Lets just see if he can do it at the head coach level.

I agree wholeheartedly with you about Paulus, LUconn. But with the recent NBA thirst for point guards he'll probably only stay at Duke one year.
The McDonalds game has turned into mothing more than an open audition before the draft. Our local kid Gerald Green will never spend a day at Okie State. And can you believe how many of these guys are 19- & 20-years-old? These 5th years of eligibility are weak. Guys now are playing a year of prep INSTEAD of college ball to lift their draft status.

Guys now are playing a year of prep INSTEAD of college ball to lift their draft status. yeah, why bother with an education, not to mention learning the FUNDAMENTALS of the game as opposed to that hot-dog, street-ball style which helped us get bounced out of the olympics in record fashion last time.

I don't see how it's possible to have both Duke and UNC blue in your blood, wouldn't your body reject that? It's simple really. Growing up in Chapel Hill with mom saying UNC good, Dook bad and dad saying Duke good, UNC bad...you become a child with loyalty issues. Honestly, I always pull for the Blue Devils, but after Carolina's 8-20 season, it was easy to feel sad for them. So now, I'm happy to see the program regain some ground this year and I hope it'll stay that way. I just hope they lose to Duke twice a year, every year.

When it comes to Football, U-M Wolverines all the way. "Hail to the victor's valiant, Hail to the conquring heroes, Hail Hail MICHIGAN THE CHAMPIONS OF THE WEST!!!" During B-Ball season, I really don't pay attention much to anyone but the flames and maybe I'll catch a U-M games one in awhile. Maybe when another Fab Five comes around....

That game was so fake. It was almost as fake as the Kansas game. i hate games that end with field goals from guys that dont play the whole game. they should do away with field goals. Michigan was up by 10 and i was talking trash to my buddy who is a diehard Longhorn, then next thing i know, things falls apart. Based on the aggies recruiting class this year, the horns i think will be displaced as Texas' team

What recent Aggies recruiting success? They had a decent recruiting run last year but are getting killed with the early commitment rush this spring. I give Fran two more years ... one if he doesn't win at least 6 or 7 this fall (and that's far from a lock).

This recruting year. They rank up there at the top. the #1 TE leads the list. watch out for the aggies. im a Michigan and Florida fan, not a aggie fan. I think the tides are going to turn and fran is going to lead them back to the glory days of R.C.
